Vlogger Kutiman is is an Israeli multi-instrumentalist who mashes up obscure (but funky) video clips into musical hybrids that need to be seen as well as heard.
His video creation, ThruYou, features seven songs, all stitched together from user-generated videos. “The Mother
of All Funk Chords” layers clips of a guitar teacher, two theremin
players, and an 11-year-old trumpet player. “Just a Lady” teams up a
singer, a synth player, a flutist, and a harpist with a banger of wind
chimes. Kutiman links to the original clips, which are delightful. But the real virtuoso performance you’ll see
here is Kutiman’s own.
Seven Amazing Video Mashups: ThruYou - The Mother Of All Funk Chords!
Do you remember being a teenager in love? Well, that is a long time ago for me, but I do remember her. It seems like yesterday!
Just like the 1960s classic tune from Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66 - "Mas Que Nada", the original "A Teenager In Love" is better than the remake.
"A Teenager in Love" is a song written by Doc Pomus and partner, Mort Shuman and originally sung by Dion and the Belmonts in 1959. In 1960 "A Teenager In Love" held three positions in the British Top 10. According to popular music historians, the song is considered one of the greatest songs in Rock and Roll history.
It reached #5 on the Billboard pop charts in the United States.
In 1970, it was covered by Simon and Garfunkel in their final show as a recording duo at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, New York. This song was covered several other times, for example by Marty Wilde, Connie Stevens and the Mutations in the Muppet Show, by Less Than Jake, and in 2002 by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and was released as a B-Side to the single "By The Way". It is also featured as a playable song in the Nintendo Wii Game Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.

Italian-American rock/pop/doo-wop band Dion & The Belmonts live on U.S. national television on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in 1959 - Dion (full name Dion DiMucci) sings "A Teenager In Love". From 1959 - 1961, during the time Elvis served in the U.S. Army, Dion DiMucci & the Belmonts were the #1 music group in the United States. Dion DiMucci was 19 years old when he sang this hit song on national television, one month shy of his 20th birthday. Dick Clark wanted him on his show singing this song as an authentic teenager.

For all you youngsters out there in the U.S. born after 1975, the original Soul Train produced and hosted by Don Cornelius was the "syckest" and "doppest" music show on TV in the 70's and early 80's in the U.S. All the white kids in America saw Dick Clark's American Bandstand on Saturday at 12 noon, while a hour earlier (at 11:00 AM) all the cool black, Latino, and white kids saw the latest dance moves on "Sooooul Train"......
