The holidays are finally over — nostalgic yet? If so, check out BetaMaXmas: The site has all the Christmas specials you missed last month — and more than a few shows you haven’t seen since, well, the heyday of Betamax.
Built by a San Francisco designer named Jeffery Bennett, the archive collects classic holiday clips from the 1970s and ’80s — including a Christmas episode of The Facts of Life (starring a young George Clooney), a special that features Sesame Street characters on ice, and the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special. Better yet, the videos appear on an old-fashioned, rabbit-eared TV set in front of a wood-paneled backdrop — and in true UHF fashion, the image is intermittently fuzzy. So wipe your seasonal depression away, and make merry — better late than never.
