Here is the original video from the Ed Sullivan Show aired on December 14, 1969. This was the first time The Jackson Five, featuring Michael Jackson, played on national TV. They were the lead music act that night before the main gig, Diana Ross & The Supremes:

A NEW YEAR'S EVE IN A CLASS ALL ITS OWN
Three of the cities top event producers, Donovan, Nate Mezmer & Mike Fitzgerald, are joining forces with The Spinsters of San Francisco and SOMA Magazine, to produce the final New Years Eve party ever at City Hall.
San Francisco’s City Hall is truly an architectural masterpiece and offers a magical setting to help usher in an inspired 2009. The building, created in 1915 during the brief “City Beautiful” movement is an awesome work of art and boasts a ceiling structure over 300 feet high - the fifth largest dome in the world – with a comfortable capacity of 3,000 guests.
The night will feature a live fashion show of the Spring 2009 Collections of world-famous fashion designers Prada and Dolce & Gabbana.
This night will also feature four impressive rooms of music & entertainment:
The Main Rotunda Room hosted by Donovan & The Spinsters of San Francisco with Sexy, Sophisticated House Music by DJ Donovan and Donovan's #1 resident DJ Hector Garza. This grand room with its unique and vast dome ceiling view, features access to the beautiful Mezzanine level and an exclusive section with multiple bars for VIP guests.
The Prada and Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Lounge hosted by SOMA Magazine. This lounge setting inspired by the designs of Prada and Dolce & Gabbana is located on the private 4th Floor offering the most breathtaking birds-eye views of the Main Rotunda Room where DJ Donovan will be performing. After the fashion show, take a closer look at all of the Prada and Dolce & Gabbana designs from the show available for order right off the runway as our fashion show models are staged on podiums as live mannequin fashion models. View streaming couture fashion shows from Prada and Dolce & Gabanna's runways in Milan, Paris, and New York.
The Hip Hop/ Mash Up Room in the North Light Court hosted by Nate Mezmer and Mike Fitzgerald with DJ Remeddy & the Designer Deejays: Just & Dan-Lo. This room, the largest of the three will feature two huge bars, an array of dance space and plenty of prime real estate for VIP table buyers.
The Pop Rock Electro Room in the South Light Court hosted by Bellstar Records featuring performances by Chris Clouse and sets by DJ Doctor J & Sep D. This room, the most intimate of the trio but still quite large, features another huge bar, plenty of VIP table space, and another big dance floor.
The Midnight Celebration will include an unprecedented Fireworks Show inside City Hall, a special dance performance by The Desired Temptations dance troupe, and a complimentary champagne toast.
The party will also feature D! Entertainment Presents "Live from the Red Carpet" with host Jessica Rae interviewing all of the most fashionable guests arriving on the red carpet. Fine Jewelry Designer Metal Noir will award one-of-a-kind diamond jewelry pieces to the "Most Elegant Dress of the Evening" and "Sexiest Dress of the Evening".
With each ticket sold, in association with The Spinsters, the event will help to raise money for the "City of Dreams" Charity Organization (www.cityofdreams.org).
THIS WILL BE THE LAST NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY EVER AT CITY HALL!!!
The city has chosen not to continue opening City Hall for business on New Year's Eve after this year, so this will be you and your friends last opportunity to experience City Hall on New Years Eve. Can you afford to miss this "once in a lifetime" opportunity?

Hey music fans,
Last Friday was Michael Jackson's birthday. For those of us who actually grow up with him and the original Jackson Five, this song is timeless for us. As a 4-year old child growing up in the Noe Valley district of San Francisco in the 70's, I drove my parents crazy with the following song by the Jackson Five - "The Love You Save".
Yes, it was "bubble gum" pop music, even for the era. But I played, sanged, and danced to it 25 to 30 times a day as a child, until Bruce Lee came along and the whole Chinese Martial Arts thing that swept the nation and the world.....
From the archives of the old Ed Sullivan Show, here is 12 year old Michael Jackson with his 15 year old brother Jermaine in the Jackson Five's "The Love You Save" in Acapella!!! (There is a 20-second pause in the middle of the song).
Sing along people, here are the words for the song. Sing along folks.....
"The Love You Save":
top! You better save me
Stop, stop, stop! You better save me, dear
When we played tag in grade school
You wanted to be it
But chasin' boys was just a fad
You crossed your heart you'd quit
When we grew up you traded
Your promise for my ring
Now just like back in grade school
You're doing the same old thing
Stop! The love you save may be your own
Darlin' take it slow or someday you'll be all alone
Better stop! The love you save may be your own
Darlin' look both ways before you cross me
You're headed for a danger zone
I'm the one who loves you
I'm the one you need
Those other guys will put you down
As soon as they succeed
They'll ruin your reputation
They'll label you a flirt
The way they talk about you
They'll turn your name to dirt
Oh!
Isaac said he kissed you
Beneath the apple tree
When Benjie held your hand
He felt electricity
When Alexander called you
He said he rang your chimes
Christopher discovered
You're way ahead your time
Stop! The love you save may be your own
Darlin' take it slow or someday you'll be all alone
Better stop! The love you save may be your own
Darlin' look both ways before you cross me
You're headed for a danger zone
Hold on! Hold on!
Hold on! Hold on!
"S" is for save it
"T" is for take it slow
"O" is for oh no
"P" is for please
Please don't go
The love you save may be your own
Some day you may be all alone
Stop it!
Save it, baby
You better stop
The love you save may be your own
Please, please
Or some day, some day, baby
You'll be all alone
I'm the one who loves you
I'm the one you need
Those other guys will put you down
As soon as they succeed
Stop the love you save may be your own,
You better stop it, stop it, girl
Or someday you'll be all alone
The way they talk about you
They'll turn your name
Turn your name to dirt
PS. Growing up in the City of San Francisco, I went through all of Michael's phases in his youth: The Jackson Five, The Jacksons, and Michael Jackson "The King of Pop". But for me, Michael Jackson will always be that super talented 11 & 12 year old boy I saw on the Ed Sullivan Show so many many years ago.....
